Weathering the Storm

August/September marks the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina – one of the worst disasters in US history.  Failures of prevention at the primary level (levees), secondary level (evacuation), and tertiary level (the rest of the response) have been well documented, and the social and health effects are far from over. It is also the two year anniversary of Hurricane Ivan, which caused extensive flooding and disruption in Pennsylvania. Both events will be highlighted in our September 15th symposium, “Weathering the Storm”. Please come!
